Product Marketing Engineer

Astrodyne TDI is looking for a Product Marketing Engineer for the Power Business Unit. This position is responsible for product management and technical support for the High-Power product line (power solutions from 800W to 100kW). Product marketing responsibilities include market research and competitive analysis, product roadmap development, sales training, and enablement, technical product support, and content creation including technical documentation and specifications. Work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, customer service, and operations to meet revenue and deliverable goals.

• Supports sales, application engineering, and customer service teams regarding product technical questions, issues, documentation, customizations, and other inquiries
• Serves as subject matter expert for the product line and provide strategic support of opportunity pipeline to close on new business and grow revenue
• Performs market research and develops market strategies that detail activities to meet organizational objectives for growth in targeted markets
• Creates and or reviews product collateral and launch materials including datasheets, user guides, application notes, product briefs, installation manuals, and sales presentation material
• Conducts product training and webinars for sales
• Develops proposals for power supply modules and power systems in pursuit of business development and response to RFI/RFQs.
• Compiles market research and requirements to create MRDs for new product development
• Actively takes the role of communicating customer’s requirements to support program management teams for the completion of projects and schedules
• Interacts with engineering to gain detailed product knowledge

A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline is preferred with 1-3 years of professional working experience. The successful candidate for this position has a technical background combined with an acumen for strategic business thinking.  The ideal candidate is proficient in technical writing and communication skills.
