Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible to maintain and grow the assigned market segment(s) in the High Power business unit by driving new wins and awards of switch mode power supplies and related products.  Involves business development, product planning and execution through entire product lifecycle, gathering, analyzing and prioritizing requirements, defining the product vision and roadmap, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and support to ensure revenue growth and product deliverable goals are met. 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Drives and Supports Sales team with respect to the Design Win Opportunity Pipeline to close on new business and grow revenue.
  • Develops detailed technical proposals for power supply modules and power system solutions in the pursuit of business development to grow revenue, and in responses to RFI/RFQs.
  • Develops and maintains price lists, part numbers, organized product configuration matrix and all other product management details associated with product line.
  • Responsible for definition of market strategy, product strategy, and roadmap for power supply products and systems, outlining key value proposition and exploiting product differentiators.
  • Performs market research and analysis of the respective market segment to size the Total Available Market (TAM), size the Share of Available Market (SAM), understand trends, identify top customer targets, and detail competitive analysis.
  • Creates product collateral and launch materials including data sheets, user guides, application notes, product briefs, installation manuals, and sales presentation materials.
  • Conducts product training webinars and on-site presentations for sales and manufacturer representative teams.
  • Leads and supports customer on-site meetings and calls as the key subject matter expert on the product line.
  • Creates vision and roadmap of products and features. Compiles market requirements and builds business cases for new product development to present to executive team.
  • Drives product development teams to deliver on requirements and schedules.
  • Interacts with engineering to gain detailed product knowledge.
  • Engages with professional technical organizations and associations related to the product line and market segment.
  • Drive marketing initiatives through customer service team to expand business development bandwidth
  • Leads Trade Show activities for Opportunity creation.

    

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

No direct reports but requires the ability to influence sales, support, and engineering organizations to meet product requirements, launch window, and revenue growth goals.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • This ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 3 years’ experience in electronics/electrical industry. Specific experience in power electronics/systems is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Experience dealing with defense contractors and/or government contracting process is a plus.
  • The successful candidate must be adept at market research and business plan creation.
  • Must possess an aptitude for requirements development through customer interaction, competitive benchmarking and market analysis.
  • The successful individual in this position must have an understanding of the product development process and life cycle.
  • Excellent writing and verbal skills required for proposal creation and presentation to customers.
  • The individual in this position must be fluent in writing, speaking, an understanding English, with a second language capability highly desirable. Requires the ability to effectively communicate product concepts and attributes to customers as well as the direct sales team.
  • The successful candidate for this position must have highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills in order to evaluate and assess complex scenarios and product attributes in order to meet market and customer expectations. Consistently works with abstract ideas or situations across many functional areas of the business. Through assessment of intangible variables, identifies and evaluates fundamental issues, providing leadership and direction to internal organizations to guide development and win new business.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% time.
