Test Technician - Power

BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF JOB:

The Test Technician strives to improve the reliability of a power supply by providing detailed information on the root cause of a failure mode through accurate troubleshooting/analyzing and identifying the true root cause of the defect.

WORK PERFORMED:

• Pinpoint the true root cause of failure mode through accurate troubleshooting
• Identify potential trends and bring them to the surface in a timely manner
• Enter failure mode information into database in a clear, concise and detailed manner
• Test as per Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP)

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED:

Associate’s Degree required, Electronic Technology focus preferred

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1-3 years

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• This role may occasionally require heavy lifting (70 lbs)
• Pre-employment physical required
• Able to work with electronic test equipment (O-Scope, DMM, etc.)
• Able to work well in a team-oriented environment
• Reliable and a self-starter
• Ability to learn quickly, and implement new instructions into routine
• Have good communication skills
• Able to work with PCs in order to enter, retrieve and analyze data
• Able to write comprehensive and technical failure analysis reports for the customer
